4.2.2 Commissioning Strategy for Looked After Children and Care Leavers

The purpose of the Commissioning Strategy is to set out how Ealing Council will, over the next three years, meet the placement needs of current and future Looked after children and care leavers and improve their outcomes.

This strategy is set within the context of national policy, legislation and guidance. It is linked to key local planning documents, in particular the Children and Young People's Plan, Ealing Children's Commissioning Strategy and the Council's Children's Services Business Plan. It identifies the current and future need for accommodation, maps current service provision, identifies gaps in provision and sets out future commissioning arrangements and procurement and contract management plans.
